The thing about blessings is, they don't always wave a flag and say, "Hey! I'm a blessing"! They can be disguised. Sometimes they're completely hidden. Often, they wear camouflage (kinda like frogs) to appear as everyday encounters, quiet whispers, very slow changes, and even disastrous happenings or apparent failures. So, before we get upset at God and frustrated about "prayer failure" because we don't see a blessing waiting outside our door waving a ginormous banner, let's remember the words, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you" (Hebrews 13.5).
If God went through all the trouble to come to earth, die painfully, and pay the debt we owe for our sin, just so He could then officially adopt us as His kids, you can be sure He will answer prayers and provide blessings.
Exhibit A: "See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are." (1 John 3.1)
Exhibit B: ""So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him" (Matthew 7.11)
